The meaning and how to pronounce Aggelia
Aggelia is a transliteration of the Ancient Greek word ἀγγελία, which means message, tidings, announcement, news or proclamation.
It is pronounced ang-el-ee'-ah.
Aggelia is found in the New Testament in 1 John chapter 3, verse 11:
“Ὅτι αὕτη ἐστὶν ἡ ἀγγελία ἣν ἠκούσατε ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς, ἵνα ἀγαπῶμεν ἀλλήλους·”
Translated by Robert Young (Young's Literal Translation 1898):
“Because this is the message that ye did hear from the beginning, that we may love one another”.
